
Jack Kennedy had two wins on the opening day of the Aintree Festival, landing a Grade One double for Gordon Elliott.
The Kerryman rode Brighterdaysahead to victory in the Aintree Hurdle, while Mange Tout also claimed top honours in the Boodles Juvenile Hurdle.

Kennedy now leads the Irish jockeys’ championship race, 97 wins to 90 over Darragh O’Keeffe, with less than a month remaining in the season.

Despite his Aintree success, Kennedy is back riding at Wexford today as he targets the title.
