A late Monaghan fight back wasn’t enough to beat Mayo in their opening round clash in the All Ireland Senior Football Championship.
The Farneymen scored six late points, but couldn’t close the deficit as Mayo squeezed past in a 1-24 to 2-20 win in Clones.
