Junior Hurlers
Tralee Parnells B 3-16 Abbeydorney C 3-10
Our Junior hurlers got their County Junior Championship campaign off to a winning start with an excellent away victory over Abbeydorney last Friday evening. With two goals from Liam O’Connell and some excellent free-taking from Doc, Parnells took a two-point lead into half-time. Abbeydorney drew level midway through the second half with a goal from a free, but Parnells kept the scoreboard ticking over with some excellent scores. A great goal from Niall Cassidy late in the game sealed the victory for Parnells. The Juniors will be back in action in two weeks’ time when they welcome St Brendan’s C.
Underage Camogie Blitzes
It was a fantastic morning of camogie on Saturday as Tralee Parnells hosted Under 8 and Under 10 blitzes at Páirc na Darach, Tralee. With three visiting clubs taking part, every team played three matches, with 12 games played in total. A huge effort was put in by all our Under 8 and Under 10 girls. They played three tough games against Sliabh Luachra, Ballyduff and Abbeykillix, and all of our girls performed exceptionally well in every game. A big thank you to all the managers, mentors and volunteers who worked so hard behind the scenes to ensure that everything ran like clockwork. A special shout-out also goes to our young Tralee Parnells referees, Anna, Emma, Shauna and Donnacha, who did a fantastic job officiating throughout the morning. Special thanks to all the parents for bringing the girls along and supporting them throughout the day. The future looks very bright for Tralee Parnells camogie. Well done to all the girls!
Rose Cup Camogie
On Saturday morning, our Under 13 team took part in the Rose Cup, playing games against Ballyduff, Abbeykillix and Ballybrown from Limerick. The girls also had the wonderful opportunity to meet and greet the Roses and their escorts, and even got the chance to practice their skills with the escorts. A huge thank you to Rose Travel, who kindly sponsored new jerseys for the girls. The team looked fantastic in their new gear and thoroughly enjoyed a memorable morning at the Rose Cup. Well done to all the girls who represented Tralee Parnells so well.
Tralee Parnells Senior Camogie
Our Senior Camogie team is currently recruiting new players. Players of all levels are welcome to come along and be part of the team, whether you have previous experience or are completely new to camogie and would like to give it a try.
