When does Premier League summer transfer window close and what time is the deadline?

The Premier League is back but clubs remain eager to add players and move them on with the pressure of early results tipping the balance.

The Premier League has spent over £2.5bn this summer, with Morgan Rogers at £117m the biggest signing of the summer.

Other big signings that topped the £100m mark include Elliott Anderson (£116m) to Man City and Sandro Tonali (£100m) to Tottenham.

But more big-money deals could go through before the window closes, with Liverpool eager to spend big on a winger, and linked with Bradley Barcola, while Arsenal have also been linked with the PSG star.

Here’s everything we know about the summer transfer window deadline coming up:

The transfer window opened for business on Monday 15 June and the deadline is on Tuesday 1 September in England, the window shuts at 11pm BST.

There is also a two-hour grace period after the window shuts, which will allow paperwork to be submitted.

Like the English transfer window, the window officially opened on 15 June, but the window north of the border shuts on 3 September at 5pm BST, two days after the Premier League deadline.

The Women’s Super League transfer window opened on Tuesday 16 June and will close on Thursday 3 September, with a later deadline of 11pm BST.

The transfer window for LaLiga shuts at 10.59pm on 1 September, while Bundesliga clubs must buy and sell players before a 31 August deadline at 7pm.

Serie A clubs have until 1 September, with an 8pm deadline.

Mid-season additions will be available when the transfer window re-opens in England on 1 January, 2027 and ti closes on 1 February once again at the later time of 11pm GMT.

In Scotland, the window will open four days after the Premier League on 5 January and then shuts on 4 February at 5pm GMT.

In the WSL, the window opens on 4 January and will close on 4 February, the same day as in Scotland.
