Munster have a crisis at out-half ahead of their United Rugby Championship opener against Glasgow this weekend.
Ireland under-20 international Tom Wood has been ruled out until the New Year with a shoulder injury, with head coach Clayton McMillan confirming that he requires surgery.
First choice fly-half Jack Crowley is also out for around three more months with a vascular issue in his leg, while JJ Hanrahan is recovering from concussion.
