A record prize fund of almost 3-million-pounds has been announced for the 2028 European Athletics Championships – which will be held in Poland.
In a new structure, athletes finishing in the top eight in every discipline will be financially rewarded.
Gold medal winners will earn just over 25-thousand-pounds.
