UEFA have launched an investigation after it was alleged a member of Republic of Ireland staff was spat at by an Israeli player during their Nations League match on Sunday.

There were scuffles between players and staff as they headed into the tunnel at half-time in the game – which was played behind closed doors in Serbia.

The match went ahead despite protests from pro-Palestine groups in Ireland.
