Kerry FC’s season is over and it’s Bray Wanderers who will face UCD in the SSE Airtricity Men’s First Division play-off final.
Colin Healy’s side lost 3-nil last night and 5-1 on aggregate, but it was some decisions by the match officials that will dominate the post-match conversations.
Kerry’s assistant manager Chris Collopy was shown a red card after receiving two quick-fire yellow cards for dissent.
10 minutes into the second half, Tyreke Sammy, who later scored Bray’s second goal, fell over Cian Brosnan who looked to have cleanly won the ball in a tackle as the last man back.
The referee wrongly saw it as a foul and showed Brosnan a straight red card reducing Kerry to 10 men for remainder of the game.
