A 64 team World Cup will allow more teams to compete on the world stage, according to FIFA President Gianni Infantino.
This year’s tournament is the biggest ever, after the number of teams was increased from 32 to 48.
Infantino says it’s been a “success” and the possibility of a 64-team edition will now be discussed once this year’s tournament draws to a close.
