The Great Britain and Ireland team will need to win seven points today if they’re to secure golf’s Walker Cup for the first time in 11 years.
The hosts lead six-and-a-half to five-and-a-half after the first day’s play at Lahinch, where Offaly’s Stuart Grehan beat the world’s leading amateur Preston Stout in the singles.
There will be four foursomes matches this morning ahead of the singles this afternoon.
