Male and female intercounty players will receive a further 250 euro from the annual player support scheme as part of today’s Budget 2027 announcement.
The increase will bring the overall State support package to 8-point-2 million euro, with players receiving an average of over 2-thousand euro annually.
The Gaelic Players Association had sought a further 700 euro per player in their pre-Budget submission last week.
