Cricket Ireland have engaged former England international Jonathan Trott for two weeks in a consultancy capacity ahead of their series against Afghanistan next month
Trott was most recently the head coach of the Afghanistan men’s cricket team
Director of High Performance at Cricket Ireland, Graeme West, says “Having worked with the Afghanistan squad, Jonathan is perfectly placed to support our strategic planning for the series, providing our players and staff with a new perspective – expanding their skills, knowledge and understanding of 50-over cricket.”
