Kerry are down to 7th in the SSE Airtricity Men’s First Division after a 3-0 loss to Athlone.

Athlone go 6th, 2 points ahead of Kerry and level on points with Longford, who won 1-0 away to Finn Harps.

4th placed Cobh remain 3 points better off than Kerry after a 3-1 defeat to Wexford.

Bray rise to 2nd after defeating Treaty 2-0.

Champions Cork beat UCD, who dropped to third, 5-1.

On a dramatic night in the title race, Shamrock Rovers twice came from behind to win 3-2 against Waterford to return to the summit last night.
