
Kerry have eased to an 8-25 to 0-17 victory over Wicklow to book their place in the Christy Ring Cup final.
The Kingdom were in control from the off; racing into a 6 points to no score lead by the 7th minute. Michael Slattery netted in the 11th minute to extend the Kerry advantage to 1-7 to a point. After half an hour the Kingdom lead stood at 1-12 to 6 points. Kevin Goulding goaled twice in the final minute of the half and Kerry were ahead at the break by 3-12 to 7 points.
Michael Slattery struck his second goal of the encounter 7 minutes into the second half, making it 4-14 to 0-8. Goulding notched his hat trick midway through the period; 5-18 to 0-12. 13 minutes from time Luke Rochford grabbed Kerry’s 6th goal. Michael Slattery’s hat trick arrived 6 minutes later. Entering added on time, Rochford nabbed his second goal.
