Manchester United host Ipswich Town in the Premier League this afternoon, with Michael Carrick’s side needing a win to bounce back from a dismal 2-0 defeat to Hull in their season opener.
United travelled north expecting to open the season with a win, but the newly promoted side were impressive as they kept the visitors at arm’s length while the likes of Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos struggled in midfield.
And Carrick and co. face another promoted side in their second game of the season, with Ipswich arriving at Old Trafford off the back of a win over Sunderland last week.
It may only be the second game of the season but alarm bells might start ringing in Manchester if Carrick’s side fall to another loss, while the Tractor Boys will be looking to land another blow as they look for the perfect start to their latest top-flight campaign.
