Munster Appointment Under Criticism

Munster Rugby have stood by their decision to appoint former All Black Roger Randle as attack coach for next season, despite criticism surrounding the move.

The 54year old New Zealander was accused of rape while on tour in South Africa in 1997.

They have released the following statement:
“Munster Rugby is aware of a historical matter concerning newly appointed coach Roger Randle from 1997,”
“At the time, no legal process was pursued, and the matter was closed.
“Munster Rugby carried out due diligence during this recruitment process and are satisfied with the appointment which has been ratified and approved.”

A number of Munster supporters have spoken against the move with some vowing to not renew their season ticket.
