World number one Jannik Sinner will miss the US Open.
The Italian has been struggling with a knee injury and hasn’t played a match since successfully defending his Wimbledon title last month.
Sinner says it’s been a “difficult decision” to sit out the Slam at Flushing Meadows but he needs more time to recover.
