
Sir Keir Starmer used an appearance at Prime Minister’s Questions on Wednesday (15 April) to celebrate a former Arsenal star’s trophy win.
“Can I start by congratulating Luton Town on winning at Wembley, coached, of course, by Jack Wilshire. A great ex-Arsenal star”, the Labour leader and avid Arsenal fan said.
Luton Town beat Stockport County 3-1 in the final of the Vertu Trophy, also known as the EFL Trophy, on Sunday (12 April).
Jack Wilshere spent a decade at Arsenal as a player, rising through the youth ranks in North London, before taking to management with the Bedfordshire side.
