North Kerry have beaten St Brendan’s in the County Senior Football Championship.
In Tralee they defeated St Brendan’s by 2-12 to 0-9.
It was a point apiece early on, North Kerry then going in front courtesy of a two pointer by goalkeeper Kevin O’Connor. North Kerry followed up with a goal from Mikey Kelly in the 10th minute to make it 1-3 to 0-1. It was 1-6 to 3 points at the quarter hour mark. Back to back Gearoid White two pointers brought Brendan’s to 1-6 to 0-7 with 5 minutes to go in the half. After Brendan’s halved the deficit a Rob Stack goal put North Kerry 4 clear at 2-6 to 0-8. That was the final score of the period.
After 40 minutes it was 2-8 to 0-9. The next score did not arrive until the 50th minute, a North Kerry point to go 6 clear. A Kevin O’Connor two pointer put North Kerry well ahead at 2-11 to 0-9. It ended 2-12 to 0-9.
