Charles Oliveira will defend his ‘Baddest Motherf***er’ title for the first time in the main event of UFC 335 in the last numbered fight card of the year in Las Vegas.

The former lightweight champion will face off against featherweight contender Diego Lopes for the belt, who moves up a division after his knockout win at the White House over Steve Garcia.

Oliveira, 36, suffocated Max Holloway with his ground game to become ‘BMF’ champion in March, dethroning ‘Blessed’ by unanimous decision.

It acted as the culmination of the Brazilian’s resurgence after being slept by Ilia Topuria in June 2025, missing out on the opportunity to become a two-time champion at lightweight.

Lopes, meanwhile, is looking to claim gold for the first time in the UFC on 12 December, with the 31-year-old Brazilian-Mexican failing in two attempts against legendary featherweight Alexander Volkanovski, who is currently in the midst of his second reign at 145lbs.

The UFC also announced that another Brazilian will take the co-main event slot, with Alex Pereira battling Sergei Pavlovich in a bid to earn another heavyweight title shot.

Pereira, vying to become the first ever three-division UFC champion, was knocked out by Ciryl Gane for the interim title on the White House South Lawn in July, with Gane since being upgraded to undisputed champion after British heavyweight Tom Aspinall vacated due to injury.

‘Poatan’ started out as a middleweight in the UFC, rising through the ranks before dethroning Israel Adesanya in November 2022, and later became a two-time champion at light heavyweight before vacating to again move up a division.

Pavlovich is on his own redemption story after Aspinall stunned him on short notice to take the interim heavyweight title in November 2023, before losing again to Alexander Volkov.

The Russian, once tipped as the UFC’s next heavyweight star, has since found his feet again in the division and is on a three-fight win streak.

Rising middleweight star Bo Nickal has also been confirmed on the card off the back of his own White House win. He faces Joe Pyfer, who stamped his mark on the division by finishing Adesanya in March.
