Shamrock Rovers have confirmed they have received a “significant fine” after a supporter invaded the Tallaght Stadium pitch during a recent league game.
A supporter entered the field of play and confronted Dundalk’s Daryl Horgan after he scored in their 3-2 defeat to the Hoops.
In a statement, the club also revealed they were issued with a suspended one-match closure of the South Stand at the ground.
