Tyson Fury has detailed his exit plan from boxing and a dream fight should he get past Anthony Joshua in the highly-anticipated heavyweight showdown on 11 December.

The Gypsy King will finally meet his bitter British rival in Cardiff, with the WBA heavyweight world title thought to be on the line and available for either fight to become a three-time world champion.

There has been talk of a rematch, despite no clause in either fighter’s contract, or even a trilogy, yet Fury intends to only fight Joshua once before a third meeting with Oleksandr Usyk.

“The breakdown of it all is, I want to punch this bum into smithereens, as a warm-up, like I have said,” Fury told IFL TV.

“Then I want the trilogy with the rabbit, I have spoken to Alex about it and he’s up for it next year, early, first quarter next year.

“The icing on the cake of a long, luxurious career: Anthony Joshua at Cardiff, then Oleksandr Usyk at Madison Square Garden. that will be it.

“Then, I’ll come join Frank Warren and become the greatest promoters the world has ever seen.”

After meeting for the first time in their illustrious careers in London on Wednesday night, ’AJ’ confirmed he already has a former Fury ally in his corner, teaming with another of Fury’s ex-trainers in Ben Davison – who also trains the likes of Fabio Wardley and Moses Itauma – with the hope he can give him the edge.

But Joshua now says he is in contact with Peter, the brother of Fury’s outspoken dad John, who has become estranged from ‘The Gypsy King’ since the pair split as fighter and trainer following his world title win over Wladimir Klitschko in 2015.

“I speak to Peter Fury, he’s willing to help me,” Joshua said. “Me and Peter get along.”

Asked if Peter has given him imparted much valuable wisdom, Joshua added: “Yeah, but not about Fury, but our training and our approach, how I can approach the fight. Not sort of, ‘Fury does this’; it was more, ‘I’ve seen what you do, and this is where he thinks he can improve’.

“It goes back to saying that everybody wants me to win, everybody’s going tell me how to win, but the most important person to listen to is myself at this point in my career. So I’ve got to take everything with a pinch of salt.

“But what I was saying is it wasn’t so much to [get] Ben and Peter to go to people that have worked with Fury before. The reason why I worked with them is because they pinpoint things.”
